Isolated Arthroscopic Lateral Retinacular Release for Lateral Patellar Compression Syndrome

Introduction: Evidence concerning the role of isolated lateral retinacular release (LRR) for patellar compression syndrome (LPCS) dates back at least three decades. Appropriate indications, execution and outcomes still remain unclear controversial. The present investigation analyzed midterm result arthroscopic LRR LPCS in a cohort patients who underwent such procedure our institution. Material methods: Patients undergoing were identified retrospectively from electronic database. All procedures performed by two experienced surgeons. with bony and/or soft tissues abnormalities, patellofemoral instability, moderate to severe chondral damage not included. previous surgeries included, as those combined interventions.
